The home page of my site provides access to my portfolio and other public galleries.
My favorite style of photography is street photography, which ranges from shooting city-scapes, architecture and candids to street portraits. Most, but not all, of my street shots are taken in the city of Boston, which I call my home. This is the reason why I chose the name Streets of Boston for my site.
The interest in street photography comes from my fascination with human interaction in an urban environment. And this type environment offers excellent opportunities to indulge in this fascination. I hope my pictures tell tiny little stories about people and their surroundings; I hope they show the town's or city's atmosphere through its architecture or their citizens' street portraits.
As I said earlier, not all my pictures are shot in and around Boston and not all of them are street photographs. You will find landscapes, portraits and abstracts on my site as well. I hope you'll enjoy them as well.

My web-site is best enjoyed using FireFox version 1.0 or higher, with a screen-resolution of at least 1024x768 pixels. The browser must enable cookies and javascript, otherwise most of the functionality of Smugmug and my web-site will not be available.
Internet Explorer 6, Netscape 8, Opera 8 and their higher versions are well supported as well, with only small differences in appearances.
The Safari browser version 1.2 and higher should also be well supported, but I haven't had a chance to fully test my web-site using this browser.
IE 6.0 and pictures 'flicker'?
MS Internet Explorer version 6.0 has an issue with displaying images in the background. As soon as you move your mouse over it or after a pop-up window has been shown, the image may flicker because the image is re-downloaded from the server.
You can virtually eliminate this problem by setting the 'Check for newer versions of stored pages' to 'Automatically' (click here to see a screenshot).
If this does not get rid of the flicker (entirely), please clear your browser's cache (use the Tools menu-bar item's 'Internet Options... --> General --> Temporary Internet Files: Delete Files...').

These pages show my pictures and can have different styles. These are the various gallery styles:
Smugmug
Shows a page of maximum 15 pictures. Each picture is represented by a thumbnail. The currently selected thumbnail is shown as its larger version - 'Medium' size - in the area below.
The selected picture's caption and 'extra-info' are shown.
Clicking on a thumbnail will select a different picture. If you want to free up some vertical space, use the 'View -- Hide Thumbnails' menu-item to hide these thumbnails.
Clicking on the larger picture below will open the picture in a new pop-up window.
Clicking on one of the 'other sizes' links, will open the picture in the same window in the selected size.
A comment on the picture can be left by clicking 'add comment' link just below the larger picture.Smugmug small

Shows a page with a strip of moving thumbnails, called the film-strip. The arrows on each side allow you to move or change the film-strip into that direction at a faster pace. Hovering your mouse over an image in the film-strip will temporarily pause it. Selecting a thumbnail from the strip will show the selected image in the pane below it. You can change the size of the image in the pane to 'Small', 'Medium' or 'Large'. Clicking on the image in the pane has no effect.Traditional
Shows a page of maximum 16 pictures of larger thumbnails.
Only the (partial) captions of the pictures are shown.
